redIT’s Phoenix colocation facility is located at 615 N 48th Street, Phoenix AZ 85008. It is the largest commercially available data center in the United States to achieve Tier 3 design specifications.
The facility itself is monitored by a state of the art access control system including closed circuit TV and DVR, biometric access control, man traps and a gated entrance. The facility is also staffed continuously, and clients have access to the facility 24 hours a day. Inside clients have access to a variety of customized solutions including locking cabinets, secured cages and custom suites.
The facility’s power infrastructure is maintained through multiple avenues, including Arizona Public service, a 42 Megawatt substation on-site, and redundant 69KVA feeders. These power sources are backed up by sixteen 2.25 Megawatt generators.
Aside from providing clients with customizable IT solutions, redIT’s data centers stand out because of their proprietary power, cooling and network connectivity systems. For power, redIT deploys at each of its data center a 2N redundant system, whereby power from each redundant source never come in contact. For cooling, redIT deploys an advanced DuctSox architecture which blows cold air down, allowing hot air to naturally rise and be pushed off the data center floor. Finally, network connectivity is also critical, and to support clients needs, redIT owns a private 10Gbps layer 2 network that forms a ring around their San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Mexico data centers. This allows for expanded network connectivity options (including those needed internationally) and more robust disaster recovery solutions.
