QTS’ New York data center is located at 395 Hudson St. 1st Floor, New York, NY 10014 . The data center is located in the heart of Manhattan, and on the first floor in a ten story building and offers 27000 square feet of enclosed space.
QTS offers space options from single cabinets to multi rack cages to private suites. The facility provides 20,000 square feet of raised floor space, and customers cubes available in office area with Internet access. The facility has multiple security cameras for video surveillance of critical areas with digital recording and storage of video for 30 days. The computer area access through card reader and biometric palm scanners, keypad and card reader at facility entrance, card access control to all interior doors.
The utility power is provided to facility via dual sourced Con Edison independent feeds. The power failure is protected by parallel redundant UPS system with battery back up, and automatic transfer to 2 x 1000 KW diesel generator capable of providing power up to 72 hours at full load. All power cabling overhead is installed in conduit with approved connectors to all equipment. 12 x 20 tons and 8 x 10 tons CRAC units feed all raised floor to effectively control the cooling and humidity in the data center. The pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with VESDA is installed in the data center for safety. Air temperature, humidity, fire detection and water pressure are managed by automated control system, which pages all alert situations to trained facility engineers.
The data center has dual fiber entrances into the building including multiple central office redundancy, and roof rights for antenna placement. Internal cabling, copper, coax or fiber access, to carrier bandwidth using cable management systems throughout the facility. The engineers are trained to control and maintain all critical facility components, and are available by pager.
