QTS’s (Quality Technology Services) Lenexa data center is located at 8007 Bond Street Lenexa, TX 66215. The data center is a 35,000 square foot, single story building with a reinforced poured concrete floor, structural steel with load bearing brick and block facade.
The Kansas data center provides 6,100 square feet 18 inches raised floor, and office space including workstations, private offices, conference rooms, and common area. The facility has multiple security cameras for video surveillance of critical areas with digital recording and storage of video with computer area access through card key door system, and biometric hand scanners.
The power to the Quality Technology Services data center is fed by a dedicated grid from Kansas City Power and Light. Power failure is protected by 160 KVA redundant Powerware UPS system configured as N+1 redundancy, and automatic transfer of critical and non critical load to 1,750 KW diesel generator. All power cabling below the floor is water proof conduit encased with waterproof connectors to equipment. The redundant HVAC units are installed in the data center to effectively moderate cooling and humidity. The pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with smoke sensors installed above and below the raised floor. Air temperature, humidity, fire detection and water pressure are managed by automated control system, which pages all alert situations. QTS offers space options from single cabinets to multi rack cages and private suites.
The Quality Technology Services Kansas data center is a carrier neutral facility providing access to multiple providers for local fiber, Internet connectivity. The available in-house carriers include AT&T, Level 3, CenturyLink, and Verizon. The data center has diverse fiber entrances including multiple central office redundancy with fiber and network access to multiple primary carriers. The engineers are trained to control and support all critical facility components, and are available by pager.
