QTS’s Dallas data center is located at 6431 Longhorn Drive Irving, TX 75063. Strategically located on a 40-acre campus in the Irving/Las Colinas area, QTS Dallas is ideal for enterprise, medium and small organizations requiring significant room to grow. The data center is located less than 5 miles from DFW airport, and is low risk for exposure to natural disasters.
QTS offers space options from single cabinets to multi rack cages to private suites. The cages are built in sixty four square feet (8×8) sections while private suites provides more space with solid wall structures that restrict visibility as well as multiple security controls.The facility currently offers 700,000 square feet of raised floor space with an expansion capacity to 1.4 Million square feet. The initial planned build to a 200,000 square feet of raised floor with expansion plans to support 600,000 square feet of raised floor. The data center rooms range from 7,000 – 30,000 square feet, offering flexibility and scalability.
QTS Dallas is a environmental friendly facility, and offers low operating cost in terms of energy. During renovation Dallas data center, QTS plan on recovering several tons of materials to be reused or recycled offsite. The data center is in pursuit of achieving LEED certification. The data center is a fully fault tolerant facility with dual fed power and dedicated onsite 140 MW power substation. The redundant UPS system and generators provide the back up power to the data center on the loss of utility power. A total of 25,000 tons of cooling is provided through two closed loop systems. Air temperature, humidity, fire detection and water pressure are managed by automated control system.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility providing access to multiple providers for local fiber, Internet connectivity. Having diverse fiber connections, the data center provides convenient access to area’s numerous network providers.
