Peerless Networks’ Chicago data center is located at 840 S. Canal St., Chicago, IL 60607. The data center is located in downtown Dallas, and provides secure loading docks and staging area. The data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility.
The data center offers flexible colocation space options to its customers. The data center provides 12,600 square feet of total enclosed space, including 8,000 square feet of data center space. The facility is annually audited and is a certified SAS 70 Type II facility. The data center provides excellent security measures such as 24×7 video surveillance and alarm system, security staff, onsite NOC, and multifactor authentication system including key card access and biometric readers. The data center is protected from fire through the use of highly advanced multi zone high fog pre action fire suppression system that utilizes up to 70% less water to reduce potential water damage.
The Chicago data center provides a reliable power infrastructure with power to the facility is served through multiple power grids. Entire critical infrastructure is protected by redundant N+1 UPS system with battery backup on the immediate loss of utility power with automatic transfer of entire load to standby diesel generator. The data center has 1.5 MW of critical load, and supports power density of 150+ watts per square feet. The cooling and humidity in the data center is effectively moderated through redundant rooftop cooling units capable of delivering over 350 tons of cooling with N+1 CRAH units.
Peerless Networks’ 840 S. Canal St. data center is a carrier neutral facility, and offers direct access to most fiber providers as well as fiber routes to other data center location within city. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides technical support and monitoring services.
