NYI’s (New York Internet) New York data center (NY1) is located at 100 William St., New York, NY 10038. The data center is located in the heart of lower Manhattan in a 21 story building that was built in 1974 in the Financial District. The building is notable for its monolithic facade cladding of black slate panels.
The data center provides colocation space through partial cabinet, half and full cabinets, and customized cage space. The facility provides over 30,000 square feet of usable data center space that includes 18 inches raised floor space with fire and flood sensors throughout. The data center meets the rigorous compliance requirements for PCI DSS and HIPAA, and is a SSAE SOC I type II certified facility. The data center provides multiple layers of hardened physical security including 24x7x365 onsite security, CCTV surveillance with digital storage, electronically control access card, and biometric readers. The data center uses zoned pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with VESDA control for extinguishing any fire spark.
NYI’s New York data center (NY1) provides a reliable power infrastructure with over 2 MW of available power. The immediate power failure is protected by UPS system in N+1 redundancy with 15 minutes of backup time at full load. The emergency power is provided by standby diesel generator with 6,000 fuel storage tank onsite capable of operating for 72 hours without need to refuel. The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) switches generator power within 30 seconds of commercial power loss. The facility has Lorain 2,500 Amp DC power plant, and provides power density of 150 watts per square feet. The data center delivers 120V, 208V, 208V 3 phase, and 48V DC power to each rack. The HVAC units in N+1 redundancy effectively control the cooling and humidity in the data center.
NYI’s 100 William St. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has enterprise class infrastructure with fully meshed, BGP4 based fully tolerant network with no single point of failure, and offers 99.9999% uptime. 24x7x365 onsite staff provides the helpdesk and support services.
