Located 40 feet, below ground, under the Davenport Hotel, NetRiver’s Spokane Data Center is located at 10 S. Post Street, Spokane WA 99201
The purpose of NetRiver’s Spokane data center is to provide a redundant back up facility and disaster recovery site. The data center is located on the opposite side of Washington State, as their Seattle colocation facility. The two data centers are connected via a network fiber ring, and traffic between the two data centers is passed across this private link. In the event that the Seattle data center is taken off-line, the Spokane facility becomes fully active via a different ISP connection. This set up provides clients even more security through the geographic diversity of their data assets.
The physical infrastructure is located below the Davenport Hotel, which is 15 stories of steel and concrete. The facility is monitored 24 hours a day by video surveillance. Onsite security staff (including hotel staff) monitor the facility at all times, and Netriver technical staff are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The facility is HIPPA certified and SSAE 16 Type 2 certified as well. In addition to its primary power sources, a 1.5 MW diesel generator is located on-site which can deliver up to 4.8 kilowatts of power per cabinet. The cooling system is anchored by a chilled water cooling system which is N+1 configured. The HVAC system also includes 20 tons of cooling capacity, which can be expanded to 50 tons. Finally, the network includes Cisco/HP core routing, and has a capacity of 1 Gbps.
NetRiver owns and operates two colocation facilities in Washington State, and is a leading provider of scalable and reliable network neutral services in the Washington state area. In addition to its colocation offerings, NetRiver also provides customers with support in private cloud (IAAS) and Cloud Server (LTO) configurations, backup solutions, disaster recovery and internet services.
