The data center is a freestanding building with precast reinforced concrete walls, and provides an isolated shipping and receiving area. The facility is located 1 mile from I-75 for easy access, and is right next to the Department of Defense (DOD) protected airspace. The data center is also outside of the 500 years floodplain.
The data center offers flexible colocation space options including space for single server, quarter cabinet, one third cabinet, half cabinet, full cabinet, customized cage space, and private suites. The data center is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC I requirements. The data center provides multi layers of security including 24x7x365 on site security guards, a single point of access, numerous video surveillance cameras monitoring the entire facility, equipment checks, locked cabinets, monitoring by NOC staff, a key card access system, and mantraps to prevent tailgating. The data center uses a pre action dry pipe fire suppression system. The facility is also equipped with specialized heat and smoke sensors and separate fire zones above the ceiling.
The Marietta data center has a reliable and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure. Power to the data center is served through underground independent utility feeds. Immediate power failure is protected by a UPS system in N+1 redundancy in the event there is a loss of utility power. Emergency power to the data center is delivered by diesel generators in N+1 redundancy in the event of an extended power outage. These generators have fuel storage for 70 hours of continuous runtime, and multiple refuelling contracts with multiple vendors. Diverse power is delivered in redundant A+B feeds to each cabinet. The multiple CRAH (Computer Room Air Handlers) units with N+1 chilled water loop automate cooling and humidity levels in the data center.
