MFX offers data center services to clients who want the security and redundancy of a private data center, but without the high amount of capital investment. MFX data centers offer a secure environment for clients IT assets. Management systems are in place that constantly monitor power, network, environmental variables, as well as protect from outside intrusion. All facilities provide back up power and cooling systems, and each facility is SSAE-16 certified, as a result of each facilities’ redundant and diverse network systems. A centralized network operations centers is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can provide clients with historical or real-time reporting on issues. Each data center also has an isolated point of entry for visitors and authorized personnel.
Founded in 2001, MFX Fairfax operates three data centers, two of which are located in the United States. MFX divides up its data center operations into standard colocation services and mainframe colocation services. Mainframe colocation allows clients to turn over much of their IT asset supervision and functionality over to MFX. Overall, it lowers the cost of ownership for clients and removes the burden of the increasing staff time and infrastructure needed to house data assets internally. MFX also provides expert technicians with extensive training and experience.
In addition to its physical colocation offersings, MFX also offers a range of add-on services such as managed hosting, managed network services and disaster recovery services. The optional managed services that clients have access to include full-time monitoring of all network infrastructure as well as trouble shooting and problem resolution. Clients also have access to remote access support services such as VPN, SSL and RSA. Finally, MXF also offers clients private cloud services, and MFX supports many kinds of virtualization infrastructures such as VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix, OpenStack and CloudStack.
