Mead Group’s Seattle data center offers clients a safe and secure environment for its IT infrastructure needs. First, clients get access to multiple space options including racks, cabinets and private suites. Inside, multiple layers of environmental and security monitoring are in place, including 24 hours a day, 7 days a week video surveillance and on-site personnel. Key Card access is also needed throughout the facility. The temperature and humidity is also monitored at all times. There are also multiple layers of protection against any type of fire threat, including a VESDA early detection system as well as a pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system. The power infrastructure is run by a continuous UPS system and is backed up by multiple onsite generators.
The Mead Group also offers clients a host of additional services and features. Clients are able to access the onsite “Meet-Me-Room” which allows access to multiple bandwidth providers without upfront costs or technical overhead. Other managed services include system reboots and system administration, monitoring and remote hands and eyes. Mead Group also provides work spaces for clients’ staff, chairs and carts, standard tools for technical staff as well as complimentary training on racks, cabinets and wiring. The data center is also located in close proximity to the 4-star Westin Hotel, with discounts available to Mead Group customers.
The colocation facility is operated by ColoCenters, a subsidiary of the Mead Group.
