Lightower Fiber Network’s Newark data center is located at 165 Halsey Street, Newark, NJ 7102. The data center is located at 5th floor in NW corner. Lightower offers a comprehensive suite of colocation services.
The data center offers secure cabinet colocation space and can accommodate 19″ or 23″ cabinets. The facility provides 11,044 square feet of total space including 3,410 square feet of colocation space with floor load capacity of 100 lbs. per square feet. The data center has 24 x 7 facility access monitoring by NOC staff, door control access system, and client specific swipe card entry. The data center has pre action dry pipe sprinkler fire suppression system for any fire spark.
The 1,200A of power to data center is supplied by PSE&G. The data center provides AC and DC power with battery backup to the customer’s equipment, and supports the high power density configurations. The facility has Eltek Valere 2000A DC power plant with Flatpack2 rectifiers and 4 hours of battery backup. 2 x 150 kVA PowerWare UPS and 2 x 500 kVA APC UPS protect the critical system on power failure, and provides 15 minutes of backup on full load. The continuous emergency power to data center is fed by standby 800 kW Kohler diesel generator with basic fuel storage tank for 24 hours of runtime located on the roof. The data center has 2,000 gallons of extra fuel storage tank and redundant fuel pump system in the basement. 1,200 A of Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is located at ninth floor in Lightower work space. The data center has APC, 300mm units commensurate with heat rejection demands for automating the cooling and humidity, and also uses APC hot aisle containment cabinet structure.
165 Halsey Street colocation facility is a carrier neutral facility with cross connections to multiple carriers of choice. The facility offers full connectivity to the Lightower metro and long haul optical network, providing fully managed, high capacity and scalable Ethernet, Wave, and SONET services. The data center has diverse fiber entrances into the building with diversely router risers in conduit to support SONET, DWDM, Ethernet, and MPLS GigE interfaces. The facility has diverse 216 count fiber connectivity between 5th floor and MMR on 9th floor. The 24 x 7 x 365 NOC staff provides the monitoring and support services.
