Inland Fiber operates a Tier 3, carrier-grade, data center located at 200 Avenue B, NW, Winter Haven FL 33881.
The physical infrastructure is primarily made out of concrete and is designed to withstand a Category 4 Hurricane, with floors 4 and 5 designed to withstand a Category 5 hurricane. Inside the facility, client’s assets are also protected by a multi-layered security infrastructure. All external door entrances, elevators and mechanical and electrical rooms are secured with magnetic door locks. Security staff is present 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and 30 security cameras capture continuous video surveillance. Access to racks, cages and suites is controlled by a Keyscan HID compliant security control system, with requires high proximity key card access and biometric screening. The facility is also well protected against any type of fire hazard, which includes a dry pipe suppression system and dedicated clean agent systems as well.
The power infrastructure is state of the art, and designed to keep power flowing regardless of a utility power failure. The facility is fed by diverse utilities, and the infrastructure is designed in an N+1 UPS configuration. The data center also contains numerous UPS and battery rooms, diesel generators, automatic switch gear and up to 10,000 gallons of on-site fuel storage. There are 2 Caterpillar generators located on site, with external areas for additional generator expansion. Operations are designed to run self-sufficiently on back up generator power for days without outside power. The HVAC systems are also fully redundant and include multiple Liebert 25 ton CRAC units as well as dual redundant cooling towers, surrounded by a Category 4 rated structure.
