InfoRelay – Los Angeles Data Center (LAX3)

InfoRelay’s data center, LAX3 is located at 900 N. Alameda St. # 200, Los Angeles, CA 90012 and is one of their three facilities in the Los Angeles area. Formerly home to Los Angeles Terminal Access, the facility that processed all mail for Los Angeles. The massive building exceeds the seismic Zone 4 and site coefficient requirements by up to 15%.

The InfoRelay data center provides Los Angeles colocation services to its customers from 1/4, 1/2, and full cabinets, multiple cabinets deployments as well as cage provisioning. The data center is a SAS 70 Type II certified, and is 24 inches raised floor design. The data center security is provided through security guards and video surveillance 24 x 7 x 365 with recording and archiving for 90 days. All the data center access is two factor authentication including biometric hand readers or finger print reader with key card verification. Pre action dry pipe and  FM 200 fire suppression with VESDA control is installed for extinguishing any fire breaking out in the data center.

The data center has a reliable power infrastructure. The UPS system in 2N and N+1 configuration with automatic transfer switch between critical components, and diesel generators in N+1 configuration protect the system in the event there is a loss of utility power. The data center provides a power density of 180 watts per square foot. There are dual power supplies directly to each cabinet with a power density of 25 kWs per cabinet. The N+1 configured cooling system automates the temperature of the data center. The facility has a temperature zone monitoring system installed with computerized environmental controls with monitoring system.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with direct access to the One Wilshire data center offering seamless connectivity access to over 200 of the world’s leading carriers and network service providers. The data center has multiple network paths into through diverse conduit and fiber optic connections with local 10 Gigabit failover. 24 x 7 x 365 skilled technical support is provided via customer web portal, priority ticket system, and phone. The data center also provides Remote Hands services 24 x 7.
