INAP’s Atlanta data center (ACS) is located at 250 Williams Street, Suite E-100, Atlanta, GA 30303. The data center is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta adjacent to many Fortune 500 companies with convenient access to highways, airports, and hotels. The data center built in 1988 with expansion in 2012, has seismic zone 1 rating, and is outside the floodplain. The building is post-tension concrete construction. The facility provides amenities like fully equipped office space, conference room, technical workspace and adjacent breakdown rooms, and full service lounge.
The data center offers a number of colocation options, including cabinets in half and full sizes, and custom private caged space. INAP uses Chatsworth Products’ 4-Post QuadraRack ServerFrame which provides a highly secure storage environment. The data center provides 40,000 square feet of colocation space, and 21 feet of clear ceiling height. 36 inches antistatic raised floor provides the efficient cooling and easy management of cabling system. The facility is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 Type II requirements. The data center provides the state of the art security measures, including 24x7x365 security guards onsite, CCTV monitoring through 6 x indoor cameras and 4 x outdoor cameras with archiving of data for 90 days, and intrusion detection system. The entrance to the data center floor is authenticated through the use of card key and biometric scan. The facility uses both wet pipe, and multi zone pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for the life safety. The facility has subfloor smoke detection facility, and is remotely monitored.
Atlanta (ACS)data center is a reliable and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure with concurrently maintainable power system. The facility is efficient energy design, and provides efficient working environment by consuming fewer fossil fuels, reducing greenhouse emissions, minimizing the impact on land. The utility power circuits to the data center is delivered through redundant power feeds. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by 2×750 kVA Liebert UPS system, 1×750 kVA Toshiba UPS system, and 2×1,400 kVA APC UPS system in N+1 redundancy on power failure. The secondary power is provided by 2 x 1.5 MW Caterpillar diesel generator and 1 x 3 MW MTU diesel generator onsite. The DC battery bank provides 10 minutes of backup time on full load, and power density of 12 kW per rack. The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained by multiple 16 x 30 tons and 2 x 20 tons CRAC units and 5 x 50 tons and 2 x 20 tons CRAH units in N+1 configuration. The hot aisle, cold aisle separation and passive cooling solutions maximize cooling efficiencies.
250 Williams Street is a carrier neutral facility with robust carrier neutral meet-me-room, including alternative transit and local access options. The data center offers 100% network uptime SLA. INAP’s multi-homed route optimized Performance IP provides links up to 10GB through multiple top tier carriers. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides the helpdesk and support services, and remote hands services.
