Global Access Point’s Indianapolis data center is located at 800 Henry Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The data center location also provides reduced risks in terms of geopolitical concerns, earthquakes, hurricanes and tornados. Both locations, the Union Station and Indianapolis, offer the only two carrier hotels in the state of Indiana.
The data center offers half cabinet or full cabinet colocation, rack space, 10 x 10 feet of caged space, and private suites. The data center provides 2,000 square feet of colocation space.The data center provides 24 x 7 x 365 security staff, video surveillance, and card key entry. FM200 fire suppression is installed in the data center for suppressing any fire spark in the data center.
The data center has a very reliable power infrastructure with 0.2 MVA of power is served to the facility. The emergency power supply is provided by UPS system that is backed by diesel generators. Tenants have the ability to bring redundant ‘A’ and ‘B’ power feeds into their space, cage, or cabinet. The data center provides 120V, 208V single phase and 208V three phase AC power, and 48V DC power with 8 hours of battery backup. HVAC units effectively controls cooling and humidity in the data center.
Indianapolis data center is a carrier neutral facility, and provides access to 32 telecommunication companies who touch the Global Access Point network in South Bend, Chicago, and Indianapolis. The building is outfitted with 2 entrance paths for cable and fiber in order to meet the diverse needs of the carriers.
