The data center provides 10,000 square feet of 18 inches raised floor space with overhead cable management and sub floor power distribution. The data center is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC 1 and SOC 3, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, and AT-101 requirements; and can help customers meet the requirements of regulatory compliance acts such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), HIPAA/HITECH, PCI DSS and Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLBA). The data center security features onsite trained staff, 24x7x365 video surveillance, combination lock access for cabinets, biometric fingerprint readers, and proximity card access with PIN code. The facility uses dual fire suppression system including dry pipe and gas based for any fire spark.

Charlotte data center 2 offers a reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure with all critical power components in redundant configurations. The data center provides conditioned AC power. The critical infrastructure is protected by redundant UPS system on the loss of utility power that is backed up by redundant 2.25 MW diesel generators. The data center provides the power density of 200 watts per square feet. The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained through multiple HVAC units. The facility has raised floor cooling with cold aisle containment to help reduce energy costs.

The data center has dual fiber entry points from OC-12 up to OC-192, and Internet/Network access options including DS-1, DS-3, or OC-X. The facility has multiple physical connectivity options including 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 10 Gbps network ports. The data center has Cisco service provider network architecture with ASR 9000 and 7600 series routers providing core routing functionalities, and Nexus 7000 and Catalyst 6500 switches at distribution layer. The data center provides 100 % network uptime, and offers burstable services to accommodate unforeseen or seasonal demand. The facility also provides carrier neutral telecom services, including ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN (BRI, PRI), and Metro Ethernet at 10/100/1000 Mbps. 24x7x365 NOC technical staff provides the support and helpdesk services, and monitoring services.
