The facility is close proximity to airport and highways, reinforced concrete structure with 135 MPH wind rating, and is located outside FEMA 500 years flood zone. The data center has convenient amenities including office space, conference rooms, and WIFI facility.
Fibertown’s Houston data center is a Tier IV infrastructure facility. Fibertown provides custom colocation solutions with a 100% uptime SLA though affordable and secure 1/2 rack to full 42U cabinets, custom caged solution with biometric and lock facility, and private data center suits requiring upto 10,000 square feet of space with multiple security features. The facility offers 30,000 square feet of 36 inches raised floor, and is a SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified. The data center features an excellent security including guarded controlled gate entry, perimeter fence with car traps, central security office staffed 24 x 7 x 365, video camera monitoring and recording with archiving. All the critical area access is through biometric and key card access controls. The data center has secure loading docks and storage areas for customers equipment. Pre Action, double interlock, fire suppression system with overhead and underfloor smoke detection is installed for the safety.
The power to the data center is fed through concurrently maintainable 2N power design with active and failover diverse electrical feeds. Multiple power rooms are fed by 2500 kVA transformers. The data center is powered by independent substations that deliver simultaneously active (A+B) dual distribution paths all the way to the customer equipment, and 6 MW of UPS critical IT load capacity. 4 x 2 MW diesel generators in N+1 configuration provides the power to data center on the loss of utility power. The generators are enclosed and protected with 16,000 gallons onsite fuel storage. The Houston Data Center uses a bidirectional, closed-loop chilled water system to deliver high efficiency cooling from 50-ton CRAH units configured as 2N. The data center has hot/cold aisles, drainage and leak detection under all raised floors.
Located along a major fiber route, the carrier neutral Houston Data Center connects to the world’s fastest and most reliable telecom providers. Both the Houston and Bryan data centers are connected via a private gateway. The network features diverse fiber entrance points in and around the data center with a primary and secondary POP room for added redundancy. The facility offers flat rate and burstable bandwidth options from 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps. The Network Operation Center (NOC) provides services and support 24 x 7 x 364, and also offer remote hand services.
