DRS - Youngstown (South) Data Center

DRS’s Youngstown South data center is located at 3203 Southern Blvd. Youngstown, OH 44507. The data center provides alternate/remote data site, mirroring and backup, secure server housing, workroom seats, custom tailored disaster recovery services, managed services, colocation, and cloud services.

Youngstown south data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility. The data center offers colocation through locked cabinets, caged space, and private suite. This 16,000 square feet facility is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC II requirements. The facility has employed many physical security measures including 24 x 7 x 365 video monitoring with recording, biometric and card access controls, IP based video cameras surveillance of interior and exterior of facility. The data center uses NFPA double interlock pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for any fire spark.

The data center offers 100% SLA on power. Liebert UPS system are capable of providing 15 minutes of backup time with automatic bypass switch, A/B Feeds, and built in surge suppression. Standby power is provided by a dedicated 425 kW Cummins diesel generator, with 250 gallons of fuel storage tank that has been installed in a secure location. The data center provides 48v DC power plant with A/B feeds and Power One rectification, and power density of 100 kW per square feet. The facility uses multiple redundant 20 tons Liebert CRAC units for maintaining cooling and humidity with extensive, plenum duct distribution to avoid potential hotspots supported by diverse condenser and Glycol systems.

Youngstown South data center is a carrier neutral facility with multiple, diverse dedicated fiber optic conduit entrances from On-Net carriers including Qwest, Sprint, Time Warner, Zayo, BroadBand, XO Communication, Expedient, Windstream and AT&T. The data center provides direct physical layer connectivity to many long haul, metro fiber, LEC and CLEC, IP transit, TDM/Voice and VoIP providers with 1 Gbps Internet bandwidth. Multiple 1 ½” HDPE carrier conduits are also available within carrier neutral metro ring. 24 x 7 x 365 NOC Tier 1, 2, and 3 engineers provide helpdesk and support services, equipment installation, servicing, maintenance, and remote hand services.
