CyrusOne’s Chicago data center is located at 1850 Springer Drive Lombard, IL 60148. The data center resides 20 miles west of the heart of downtown Chicago and close to O’Hare International Airport. The Chicago data center provides 30,000 square feet of data center space including 14,000 square feet of raised floor. The expansion space is also available for custom data halls or office space. The CyrusOne data center is a SSAE 16 SOC I Type certified, and USGBC LEED certified. The Chicago CyrusOne data center is built to top-tier standards, and boasts two diverse and redundant utility power feeds. Multiple levels of power redundancy are available in N and N+1 configurations. The CyrusOne Chicago data center has a total 3.5 MW of power from two transformers, 2 MW and 1.5 MW, fed from a single feeder. The facility has 150 KVA PDU with single feed, and a 2.4 MW dedicated diesel generator for emergency power with 8,000 gallons available for storage on site. The CyrusOne data center power cables are High Performance Computing (HPC) capable, supporting 150 Watts per square foot. The 24 and 36 inch raised floor design provides the cooling and temperature control in the data center through N+1 configured 420 ton CRAC units with Glycol cooling loops. The dual action interlocking dry pipe fire suppression, with VESDA control is installed in the data center for safety. The colocation services are provided through cabinets, caged space, private suites, and data halls.
A high-speed, high-capacity network connection is available directly to downtown Chicago’s telecommunications hub, providing a strong network offering with specific latency and replication needs. The CyrusOne data center is a carrier neutral facility, and has dark fiber connectivity options. The separate tray for copper and fiber is installed in the facility. The CyrusOne data center has 24×7 support staff available with remote hands.
