The data center is a SSAE 16 Type II, HIPAA, and PCI compliant facility. The data center provides an anti-static load bearing raised floor environment, with facility roof rights available for installation of communication equipment. Data center security features video surveillance with offsite storage, 24×7 secure access, with an access card system controlling doors. Access to the data center floor is authenticated through the use of dual factor biometric fingerprint scanners. The facility is protected against fire through a pre action dry pipe fire suppression system and an Inergen water free fire suppression system, as well as an advance fire and smoke detection system. The data center has advance infrastructure monitoring including leak and water detection system.
The Bedford data center provides a 2N redundant configuration on all key power infrastructure components, and offers 100% SLA on power. The critical infrastructure is protected by multiple UPS systems with a battery bank in 2N redundancy to cover any loss of utility power. Emergency power to the facility is served by redundant diesel generators in N+1 configuration with onsite fuel storage for up to 72+ hours of runtime. Diverse power is delivered by 2N PDUs providing 20A, 30A, or 50A circuits at 110V and 220V. The data center provides a high power density of 200+ watts per square foot. The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained by fully redundant N+1 HVAC units that are designed to support dense storage oriented environments.
