ColoHouse – Miami Data Center

ColoHouse’s Miami data center is located at 36 NE 2nd St., Miami, FL 33132. The data center is a purpose built facility located in downtown Miami, outside the 500 year floodplain and is category 5 hurricane protected.

The data center offers colocation through quarter to half and full cabinets, as well as custom caged space. The facility provides 24,000 square feet of enclosed space. Anti-static 18 inche raised flooring assists with the cooling and distribution of airflow. The data center is regularly audited in accordance to SSAE 16 SOC I requirements, and facilitate compliance with multiple industry specific auditing standards, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, GLB, and Fed Banking regulations. The data center provides state of the art security measures that include 24 x 7 security officers, picture identification, key card for elevator use, and CCTV monitoring with archiving. The colocation area can only be accessed by combination of key card and biometric scan. The data center uses TotalPac, a dual alarmed and dual interlocked, multi zone pre action dry pipe fire protection system.

The Miami data center has a reliable N+1 power infrastructure. The facility uses the same underground dual power feeds that service the local hospitals, federal and state courthouses, and is additionally served by a third power feed, 20 miles west of the building. The data center provides AC and DC power in A + B configurations. Immediate power failure is protected by UPS systems in N+1 redundancy. The standby diesel generators in N+1 redundancy provide continuous backup power in the event there is loss of utility power. Multiple HVAC units in N+ 1 configuration effectively moderate the cooling and humidity in the data center. The top tier electrical and mechanical systems all utilize high performance equipment that is continuously monitored and tested to guarantee they perform as designed.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity options to multiple Tier 1 providers including AT&T, CenturyLink, Cogent, Comcast Business Class, FiberLight, FPL FiberNet, Internap, Level3, TW Telecom, Verizon Business and XO. The data center is also home to several Tier 2 carriers which provide blends of the carriers mentioned above. The technical staff provides helpdesk and support services, and is immediately accessible by phone, email, and web based customer portal.
