The data center has an extremely low instance of natural catastrophes and is considered a safe-zone from natural disasters. The area faces neither the earthquake risks associated with coastal California nor the winter storm problems that afflict the Mountain West and the northern US. The data center centrally located, and is well suited to provide disaster recovery and business continuity services. Cobalt Cheyenne has executive suites, conference rooms, a war room, a business center, and kitchen with a stocked refrigerator.
Cobalt’s Cheyenne data center is a Tier III facility infrastructure. The data center is a 34,000 square feet facility and is SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified with HIPPA, PCI DSS, and IRS 1075 compliant. The security of data center is maintained through 24 x 7 x 365 presence of security guards, bullet proof glass and surfaces, and CCTV surveillance. The access to data center resources is multi factor authentication system including biometric security scanners, retina and fingerprint access system, and multiple mantraps. The facility is installed with double interlock, pre action dry pipe fire suppression with VESDA control for the life and equipment safety.
The Cobalt Cheyenne data center design provides unparalleled reliability, maintainability and systems flexibility. The data center is 2 (N+1) power design, and has dedicated 5.5 MVA utility circuit. 500 high density energy efficient chimneyed cabinets, 120V/ 208 V single and three phase power, and 300 watts per square feet of power density expandable to 600 watts per square feet are the key power features. The power failure is protected by tri redundant 6 x 750 kVA UPS system providing a total of 4.5 MVA power and backup 9 MVA of power provided by 6 diesel generators . The multiple multi stage air cooled CRAC units with integrated air-side economizers for automating the temperature in the data center in N+2 redundancy.
Cheyenne data center is a carrier neutral facility with choice of 10 major carriers. The facility has four fiber entrances, meetme rooms, and loop network. Cheyenne data center has 24 x 7 x 365 NOC for the technical assistance, information security consulting, and also offer remote hands services as and when required.
