Cervalis’ Connecticut data center is located at 4 Armstrong Road, Shelton, CT 6484. The data center is located close to I-95, Merritt Pkwy., and Metro North RR station. The building is outside 500 years floodplain, and provides work area recovery space featuring dedicated office suites.
The data center offers flexible colocation space including secure half and full cabinet, and caged space starting from 8’x10′ size. The facility provides a total of 168,000 square feet of space that includes 75,000 square feet of raised data center space and 35,000 square feet of work area recovery. The 36 inches raised floor data center space is designed for subfloor cable management and efficient airflow. The data center meets the compliance requirements and is certified SSAE 16 and EU Safe Harbor facility, and offers solution meeting the rigorous PCI DSS and HIPAA compliance standards. The data center provides state of the art security, including K4 rated property perimeter fence, surrounding security corridors, motion sensors, 24x7x365 video surveillance, security guards on site, and restricted entrance through the use of advanced proximity card readers and biometric scanners. The data center provides the comprehensive fire suppression system for any fire spark.
The Connecticut is a reliable N+1 and 2N power infrastructure designed to have no single point of failure providing 99.999% availability. A total of 16 MW of power is fed to the data center by three separate redundant feeds from two utility companies. The critical infrastructure is protected by UPS system in 2N redundant configurations on the power failure. The emergency power is provided by 8 x 2 MW N+1 diesel generators onsite. The facility is designed for high density power configurations and delivers A+B redundant feeds to each cabinet. The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained by rooftop mounted air cooled chillers in N+1 redundancy delivering 3,000 tons of cooling.
Cervalis’ 4 Armstrong Road data center is a carrier neutral facility with access to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has dual fiber entrances and N+1 redundancy for all network devices. The fault tolerant network infrastructure provides divergent routes and multiple connections via SONET. All the data centers of Cervalis provide end to end Ethernet connectivity among all facilities. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides technical support, monitoring, and remote hands services.
