(previous NetRiver Location) ByteGrid’s Seattle Data Center is located at 4200 194th St. SW, Lynwood WA 98036. The data center is both HIPPA and SSAE 16 certified and offers high density platforms to both retail and wholesale customers.
ByteGrid’s colocation facility in Seattle offers customers a wide array features and scalable, customizable options for their IT infrastructure needs. ByteGrid offers clients multiple cabinet and rack options in N+1 or 2N+1 power configurations. Clients also have access to either 5kWh or 10kWh cabinets. Multiple electrical feeds provide over 10MW of total power to the facility, and 2 Megawatt generators, optimized in an N+1 configuration, ensure a steady supply of power to onsite equipment in the case of a utility power failure. Fuel is stored on site, and fuel supply contracts are maintained for 8 hour response times. The HVAC system is N+1 configured and includes 43 (30) ton floor handlers which power a hot isle/cold isle cooling system. Colder air from outside is also brought in, in order to maximize cooling efficiency.
Inside the facility, multiple layers of physical security protect IT assets and personnel at all times. Video surveillance, which is infrared and motion detected, is deployed at all times, and access to the facility is key-card and biometric powered. 24/7 onsite security guards patrol the facility, and the data center itself is located across the street from a police headquarters. A VESDA smoke detection system, and a dry-pipe fire suppression system are in place in the event of an unlikely fire within the facility.
ByteGrid purchased this NetRiver location in 2014 to expand their colocation services to the west coast.
