ByteGrid – Washington DC Data Center (MDC2)

ByteGrid operates a 214,000 square foot colocation facility in Maryland. Designated “MDC2” (its sister location, MDC1 is in Silver Spring, MD), this facility is also located in the heart of the Washington D.C. metro region, and is ideally situated near three international airports.

ByteGrid’s MDC2 data center offers clients a reliable, efficient solution for their IT infrastructure needs. The facility was designed to LEED Gold standards, and over 10,000 square feet is conditioned for high density data storage. There is also 20,000 square feet of available technical office space.   For physical security, a multi-tiered system is in place that protects assets within the facility. This includes multiple biometric scanners, man traps,  24×7 security personnel, video surveillance and a hardened security perimeter. ByteGrid also makes available to clients its customer portal “MyDigitalEnergy” which provides real time data on temperature, humidity and power consumption.

With a presence in the Atlanta, Washington D.C. and Cleveland markets, ByteGrid can offer clients multiple robust, reliable and secure data center options, based on their needs. Clients have access to private data center space that include dedicated UPS power supplies and clients can also customize the security and power levels to meeting their business needs. Each Bytegrid data center adheres to strict compliance certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SSAE 16 Type 2, HIPPA and PCI. Its MDC2 facility is also compliant with US FISMA regulations, and its physical security meets GSA ISC Level IV standards.
