Axcelx’s Somerville data center provides clients with a secure and stable environment for its information technology resources and needs. The facility is secured through multiple systems including infrared motion activated cameras and video surveillance, biometric access control and 24 hour a day, seven-day a week on-site security. All the while providing customers with 24/7 access to the facility. To protect against any type of fire danger, a VESDA air sampling system is deployed, along side a dry-pipe, pre-action fire suppression system Axcelx also provides clients with self managed temperature and humidity monitoring in real-time. The cooling systems are also designed to support dense environments.
The power and network systems are also designed with multiple redundancies. The facility’s AC power is configured in a N+1 and 2N design and up to 25 kilowatts are available to each cabinet. 2N DC power is also available Redundant, N+1 back up power is also fed into the facility through diverse PDUs, and between 1 amp and 60 amps of power can be delivered, in either 110V or 208V configurations. The network system is anchored by a fully redundant IPv4 and IPv6 as well as diverse fiber entrances to the facility. Customers also get carrier neutral access to over 50 network and service providers. Because of quality of these systems, the data center is SSAE-16 certified.
Finally, customers get access to a variety of customized configurations such as individual 1U to 42U deployments, quarter cabinets, half cabinets and full cabinets.
