AT&T – Miami Data Center

AT&T’s Miami data center is located at 444 Northwest 79th Avenue, Miami, FL 33126. The data center is located within hardener facilities and offers amenities like customer lounge, conference rooms, and equipment staging area.

The data center offers colocation through secure cabinets and customized cage space. The data center provides 189,667 square feet of total enclosed space, including 97,407 raised floor data center space. The raised floor is designed for floor load capacity of 250 lbs. per square feet, and provides subfloor cable management and efficient airflow. The data center is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 type II and ISO 27001 standards, and provides clients assistance in complying with government regulation such as HIPAA, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, Base II, and Gramm Leach Bliley. The data center provides state of the art security, including 24x7x365 closed circuit video surveillance, customer door alarms, security breach alarms, biometric palm scan and personal access code, and electronic card key access to floor. The data center is equipped with state of the art Siemens Apogee life safety ALS-3, and uses pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for extinguishing any fire spark. The facility has conventional smoke and heat sensors located above the ceiling, below the raised floor, top of CRAC units , UPS rooms etc.

Miami data center is reliable and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure with power to the data center is served through 2 x 13,800V commercial power feeds from two different power grids, and located near power substation. The 4 x 1,000 kVA rotary type UPS system by Pillar in N+ 1 redundant configuration provides the conditioned power. The four battery strings support the UPS system providing 15 minutes of UPS backup time at full load. The emergency power to the data center is provided by 4 x 2,500 kW diesel generators in N+1 redundancy with 2 x 33,000 gallons of aboveground fuel storage tanks. The diverse power in A+B design is delivered through multiple PDUs, and data center support power density of 100+ watts per square feet. The HVAC units in N+1 redundant configuration control the cooling and humidity in the data center for the optimum performance of all hardware components.

AT&T’s 444 Northwest 79th Avenue data center is a carrier neutral facility with access to AT&T owns global IP network and multiple local carriers and service providers for customers’ private connectivity. The data center has redundant dual uplinks directly connected to global IP backbone. The data center provides access to world’s most powerful and advanced IP/MPLS network using new generation technology that carries data at 40 Gbps in US. The data center has redundant network infrastructure and provides 99.999% network availability. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides monitoring and support services, and remote hands services.
