Atlantic Metro’s EWR1 data center provides clients with a stable and secure environment for its IT infrastructure requirements, along with additional services that make it an ideal choice for businesses that need customizable solutions. Clients have access to different configurations such as half cabinets, full cabinets and private caged space. The physical infrastructure is protected by multiple layers of security including 24 hour a day, seven-day a week security personnel on-site, key card entry and continuous video surveillance. The facility is also protected from fire threats with a pre-action fire suppression system, which is multi-zoned and dry-piped. A VESDA air sampling system is also deployed. Finally, the facility is designed to exceed or meet local building codes for earthquake readiness. The building is also built above sea level, and includes dedicated pump rooms, drainage evacuation systems and moisture detection sensors.
Power and cooling are also continuously monitored and maintained. The power system is set up in a N+1 UPS configuration. Diesel back up generators are set up in an N+1 configuration which can provide up to 2 megawatts of power in the case of a primary utility failure. A 72 hour fuel reserve is also located on-site. The cooling system includes an HVAC system with evaporative cooling which is set up in an N+1 redundant configuration. Finally, Atlantic Metro also offers colocation customers additional professional services such as remote hands, proactive network monitoring, systems management and rack & stack services.
