Alaska Communication’s Anchorage data center is located at 600 East 36th Ave., Suite 100, Anchorage, AK 99503. The data center provides conference rooms, business center with Wi-Fi and video conferencing facility, and crash carts.
The Anchorage, Alaska data center offers colocation through 1/3 14U locking cabinets and full 42U locking cabinets. The data center provides raised floor space for subfloor cable management and efficient airflow. The data center is regularly audited and is certified SAS 70 type II facility and offers solutions meeting the HIPAA compliance requirements. The data center has multiple layers of physical security with 24x7x365 onsite staff, video surveillance with recording of interior and exterior of facility and archiving of footage for 30 days, physical sign in, and authorized badge access entry into the facility. The data center is protected by a Halon fire suppression system, non-water based system, for meeting any fire emergency.
The Anchorage data center provides a reliable and redundant power infrastructure. The utility power cut out is protected by multiple UPS systems that are able to provide the backup power for the critical infrastructure, and an automatic transfer of entire load to standby diesel generators with fuel storage tank on site. The dual PDUs deliver diverse power in A+B redundant configuration to each cabinet, and provided as 120V 20A AC or 208V 30A AC power circuit. The multiple Liebert HVAC units effectively automate cooling and humidity levels in the data center in the cold aisle/hot aisle cabinet layout design.
Alaska Communication’s 600 East 36th Ave. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. Alaska data centers have 10GB connectivity between its two data centers and 10GB within the data center. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides monitoring and support services, and remote hands services.
