Each of Virtustream’s data centers have a host of features that make them an attractive option for client’s IT infrastructure off-sourcing needs. Each Virtustream data center has obtained multiple compliances and certifications, including SSAE Type 2, HIPPA, and PCI. Each data center also comes with complimentary asset management and inventory tracking as well as highly trained on-site staff that can provide installation services, or any degree of support neccessary.

Inside their data centers, IT resources are secured and monitored through various systems. Early warning VESDA fire detection systems are deployed as well as dry-pipe double interlock fire suppression systems. On site staff provide 24 hour, 7 day a week monitoring and operational support of customer’s IT assets. Security at each location includes closed video surveillance, biometrics, keycard and controlled access at all times. Each facility also employs 24/7 security guards.

For power infrastructure, each data center has a UPS configuration of N+1. Support is also available for high density power users, up to 25KW per rack. Environmental and cooling systems are also configured at N+1, and cooling systems are configured to utilize “free cooling” from outside, which helps reduce energy use, increase efficiency, and improve reliability.
