TierPoint’s Seattle data center is located at 140 4th Ave N., Suite 360 Seattle, WA 98109. The facility was originally founded in 1995 as a web hosting provider. The data center has expanded in terms of both services and square footage to meet the growing demand for secure colocation space, connectivity and managed IT services.
The data center provides N+1 colocation space options ranging from single U cabinet space, 1/4 cabinet, 1/3 cabinet, 1/2 cabinet, full cabinet, locking cabinet, customized cage space, and private suites. The facility is equipped with seismically braced cabinets with 2,000 lbs. capacity each. The data center provides 26,000 square feet of total space including 18″ anti-static raised floor for efficient airflow. The data center is annually audited for its controls and is a SSAE 16 SOC1 and SOC2 Type II certified facility. Excellent security measures prevent any unauthorized access to the data center with 24x7x365 onsite personnel, physical ID check, monitoring through CCTV cameras with recording of footage and retention for 90 days, biometric access, card key and PIN authentication. The data center is equipped with an early warning smoke detection system and dual interlock pre action dry pipe fire suppression system to meet any fire emergencies.
Seattle data center provides reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure and can offer 100% SLA on power. A total of 10.5 MW of utility power is served to data center to meet the power requirements for the future needs. Immediate power failure is protected by a redundant and diverse N+1 UPS system, in an event of utility power loss. The standby diesel generators in N+1 redundancy provide backup power to the entire facility during a power outage, with 70,000 gallons of onsite fuel storage. The generators are tested bi-weekly and routinely at full load. Power to each cabinet is delivered in a fully diverse A&B feed with each circuit run from different UPS and generator system that insure uninterrupted power to the system. Multiple redundant CRAC units maintain appropriate cooling and humidity levels in the data center for optimized performance of all components and can be monitored remotely.
The 140 4th Ave N. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center offers 100% SLA on network connectivity with flexible solutions including optical fiber, copper and wireless. The data center has redundant 10 Gbps fiber options on diverse paths, and also provides 10 Gbps connectivity to Spokane facility. 24x7x365 NOC with onsite Level 2 and Level 3 Engineers provides helpdesk and support services.
