SteelVault – Oxford Data Center

SteelVault’s Oxford data center is located at 66 Hawley St., Oxford, CT 06478. The data center is located 80 miles from New York, 145 miles from Boston, and 145 miles from Philadelphia. The data center building was originally built for CIA in the early 1980’s, and has recently undergone massive IT infrastructure upgrades. The data center provides secure technical space, business continuity space, and ample parking facility. The data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility.

The data center provides colocation space for single server, quarter cabinet, half cabinet, full cabinet, multiple racks, and private suites. The facility currently provides 20,000 square feet of total enclosed space that can be grown up to 175,000 square feet. The data center is regularly audited and is a certified SAS 70 type II facility, and offers the solutions meeting the compliant requirements of HIPAA. The data center provides excellent security featuring 24x7x36 video surveillance, 24×7 customer access, and biometric access control system to gain access into the facility. The data center uses dry chemical fire suppression system for extinguishing any fire spark.

The Oxford data center provides a reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure offering up to 100% SLA on the power availability. Entire critical infrastructure is protected by UPS system on the loss of utility power with automatic transfer of entire load to backup diesel generator onsite. The diverse power is delivered through multiple PDUs that can be managed remotely, in a true A+B designed circuits to each cabinet, and provided as 120V, 220V, and 208V 3 phase and powered by 10A, 20A, 30A breakers. Multiple CRAC units effectively control temperature and humidity levels in the data center.

Steel Vault’s 66 Hawley St. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier I carriers and service providers. The data center has diverse fiber entrances into the facility, and offers 99.9% SLA on network availability. The data center provides a fully redundant fault tolerant network providing 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps of bandwidth. 24x7x365 support is available with remote hands services.
