IronGate Data Centers – Twin Cities East Data Center

IronGate’s twin cities east data center is located in St. Paul, MN. The east data center is purpose built, concrete bunker protected by earthen berms, single level building with high wind ratings. The data center is not in 500 years floodplain, and not in proximity to railway tracks, chemical plants, airport takeoff or landing zones. The data center has two loading docks with staging and storage area. The data center provides amenities like shared conference center, shared kitchen and break room, dedicated office space, shared office space, and showers. The facility also enjoys tax exemption for 2o years that is applicable on all data center infrastructure, equipment, and power.

The data center offers half and full cabinet colocation, lockable rack space, dedicated suites, and 150 square feet to 500 square feet cages. The data center is a 85,000 square feet facility with 14′ to 28′ clear height. The data center has military grade vehicle crash barriers and gates, bullet resistant glass throughout, and three zones of man-containment. The data center has 24 x 7 security guards onsite, video surveillance throughout building with onsite and offsite monitoring, man trap entry with advance sensory technologies, and advance sensory surveillance technologies throughout. The facility has biometric, key card, and code access requirement to gain access to data center, and also has local law enforcement and SWAT team coordination. The data center has pre action gaseous, wet pipe fire suppression system with VESDA control for any fire spark.

East data center is a N+1 or 2N electrical topology, benefits from Minnesota reliable electric utility and comparatively inexpensive. The facility provides power density of 5o watts per square feet to 200 watts per square feet, or 2kW to 15 kW per rack on average. Energy efficient “follow me” lighting available is dedicated suites. The cooling and humidity in data center is controlled by CRAC units in 2N or N+1 configuration. The data center is a carrier neutral facility with multiple service providers. The data center provides 2 x Meet Me Rooms, abundance of dark fiber, and has diverse site and building entry. The facility has onsite management and engineer team available 24 x 7.
