INAP’s Oakland data center (OAK001) is located at 720 2nd Street, Oakland, CA 94607. Antistatic raised floor is designed for the structural capacity of 240/140 lbs. per square feet. The data center is a SAS 70 type II certified facility. The data center provides the state of the art security measures, including 24x7x365 security guards onsite, CCTV monitoring with archiving of data, and facility issued photo IDs. The entrance to the data center floor is authenticated through the use of card key and biometric scan, with extra security is provided through alarmed mantrap entry. The facility uses multi zone, double interlocked, pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with VESDA control for the life safety.

Oakland (OAK001) data center is a reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure with concurrently maintainable power system. The data center has planned capacity of 14.5 MW with overhead delivery system from PG&E utility. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by blocked redundant UPS system in N+1 redundancy on power failure. The secondary power is provided by HiTech diesel generators onsite with 21,000 gallons of fuel storage onsite and extended fuel contracts. The data center provides 120V and 208V AC power circuits. The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained by 8 x chillers and 8 x cooling towers for the maximum of 3,200 tons of cooling capacity in N+1 redundancy.

720 2nd Street is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity options to multiple network service providers, including all the global Tier 1 networks. The data center offers 100% network uptime SLA. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides the helpdesk and support services, and remote hands services.
