The data center is located in an area with minimal risk of large scale natural disasters such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquake. The data center offers secure Montana colocation space. The facility provides approximately 47,000 square feet of total enclosed space, including 24,000 square feet of data center space. The raised floor provides efficient airflow and subfloor cable management that is designed for the floor load capacity of 200 lbs. per square foot. The data center has multiple layers of security including CCTV cameras monitoring exterior and interior of facility, intrusion detection alarm system, and biometric controlled entrance into the data center and colocation area. The data center uses a dry pipe fire suppression system and zoned heat and smoke detection with VESDA control for meeting any fire emergency.

The Billings data center provides a reliable power infrastructure which greatly benefits from low cost green energy at the rate of $0.08 per kilowatt per hour. The commercial power to data center is fed by Northwestern Energy. In the event of an immediate power failure, the facility is protected by a redundant UPS system that is backed by standby diesel generators that automatically start on the loss of utility power. The diverse power in redundant A+B feeds is delivered to each cabinet. The Montana data center supports higher power densities of up to 250 watts per square feet. The redundant HVAC units effectively control humidity and cooling in the data center with a hot/cold aisle cabinet layout.
