Fortune Data Centers’ Hillsboro data center is located at 21515 NW Evergreen Pkwy., Hillsboro, OR 97124. The data center is constructed in a 17 acres area and is a single story building with mezzanine deck, and office space is 2 stories. The building meets OSSC essential facility seismic standards, and is built to 1.5 structural importance factor (SIF). The facility is outside of the 500 year floodplain, and is located in the most seismically stable region with no lightning risk. The data center has 160,000 square feet of private office space, shipping and receiving area, loading docks, and 343 parking places. Fortune’s Hillsboro data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility.

Fortune Data Centers offers wholesale and retail colocation solutions with designing and deploying solutions as cabinet and rack layout, and customized cage space for the tenants. The data center provides 240,000 square feet of total space with 39,000 square feet of data room space. The data center has clear height of 11 feet from finished floor, slab on grade concrete throughout the facility with anti-static vinyl tile throughout data center floor, and floor structural capacity of 2,500 pounds per square feet. The data center is a ISO 9000 certified and PCI compliant facility. The data center security features 24x7x365 onsite security guards, photo identification system, secure building access, and video surveillance of all entrances, corridors, doors and floors. The access to data center floor is authenticated through the use of badge card reader and biometric scanner. The extra security to access data center floor is maintained through mantrap entry with secondary proximity badge reader. The facility uses double interlock, pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with VESDA control for data rooms and electrical rooms, and separate VESDA system on equipment mezzanine.

Hillsboro data center offers reliable 2N service availability with concurrently maintainability on all infrastructures. The data center is an efficient energy green data center having 75% energy from low or no carbon source annually. The data center is LEED Gold certified facility for design, construction, and operations, offers 100% SLA on power, and PUE of 1.2. The 7.9 MW of power to the data center is served by PGE’s Sunset substation that in turn fed by triple redundant transmission lines from BPA’s Keeler substation. The data center has dual, underground 12.47 KV utility entrances supplying physically redundant dedicated feeds from PGE. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by 4 x 825 kVA Eaton Powerware 9395 distributed UPS units in 2N redundant configurations with battery backup providing 5 minutes of backup. The emergency power to data center is provided through 4 x 2.25 MW, 2 x 2 MW, and 1 x 2.25 standby diesel generators. These generators have a total of 15.25 MW generation capacity with 29,600 gallons of fuel storage capacity for 36 hours of runtime. The diverse power in A+B redundant configuration is delivered through 8 x 400 kVA PDUs in 2N configuration. The data center provides higher power densities of 200+ watts per square feet.  The cooling and humidity in the data center is automated through 3 x primary chillers with 1 x redundant swing chillers producing 3,400 tons of cooling. The facility has 45 x air handling units and 2 sets of mechanical switchgear at 2N redundancy. The cooling is supplied from overhead plenum in hot/cold aisle containment design. The data center also uses building management system (BMS) for monitoring of all critical infrastructure by onsite staff.
