Colocation America’s Philadelphia data center is located at 1000 Adams Ave, Eagleville, PA 19403; and is one of three data center facilities that are operated by Colocation America in Philadelphia. The data center is located outside of urban threat zones and floodplains, and is easily accessible by major highways. The building is a multi-story concrete, steel and brick constructed building.
The data center offers flexible colocation space options including 1U rack space, 2U rack space, 4U rack space, 10U quarter cabinet, 21U half cabinet, 42U full cabinet, customized cage space, private suites and build-to-suit space. The facility provides over 30,000 square feet of space having 8,000 square feet of available space. The data center also provides raised floor space for efficient airflow and cable management. The data center is a certified SSAE 16 SOC II facility that is regularly audited for the rigorous audit requirements for the implementing IT controls, and it also offers solutions fully meeting the complex compliance requirements of HIPAA and PCI DSS.
The data center provides excellent security measures featuring 24x7x365 security guards, closed circuit video surveillance, monitored open door and security breach alarms, and dual factor authentication including card access control and biometric scanners. Access to the data center floor is further protected by mantrap entry with a photo ID card access system. The data center is equipped with dual interlock pre action dry pipe fire suppression system and floor to deck firewalls to meet any fire emergencies.
The Philadelphia data center has a reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure with power to the facility being delivered by dual utility feeds for redundancy. Immediate power failure is protected by a clustered UPS system in N+1 configuration. Extended power outage is backed up by six diesel generators configured in N+1 redundant configurations. The N+1 PDUs distribute diverse power in A+B configuration to each cabinet in a failsafe design. The data center provides power density of up to 150+ watts per square feet. Cooling and humidity levels in the data center are maintained by multiple DX and Glycol Liebert CRAC units in N+1 redundancy. The Glycol units have dual circulation pumps in N+1 configuration for added redundancy. The data center also has 24x7x365 monitored internal and third party building controls in place.
1000 Adams Ave data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier I carriers and service providers. The data center provides N+1 redundancy on all its networks offering 100% network uptime with multi layer network design and multi Gigabit capacity. The data center has multiple and diverse fiber feeds and it also provides dark fiber and Lit service. 24x7x365 real live support is provided by Level 2 and Level 3 engineers for any queries.
