The data center is a hardener infrastructure facility, and conveniently located close to major highways and major highways. The data center building is designed to withstand a category 5 hurricane. The facility was originally built by Global Crossings in 2003, and has been run as private data center since then. In 2012, the property was upgraded to become a public data center.
The West Palm Beach data center is a Tier IV infrastructure facility offering a reliable, scalable, and fault tolerant environment. The data center offers colocation space for single server in shared space, rack space in 1U increment, half cabinet, full cabinet, and customized cage space. The data center provides 6,500 square feet of total enclosed space that also include office space. The data center provides excellent security measures for safeguarding infrastructure from unauthorized access. The data center uses TotalPac dry pipe fire suppression system for extinguishing any fire spark.
The data center power infrastructure is fully redundant with 1 MW of critical capacity, and has dual power transformers onsite. The immediate power failure is protected by redundant MGE EPS 6000 UPS system on the loss of utility power that is backed by standby diesel generators with automatic transfer switch. The diverse power in A+B power feeds is delivered to each cabinet through redundant PDUs. The glycol based HVAC units effectively control cooling and humidity levels in the data center.
