C7 Data Centers’ Granite Point II is located at 14926 Pony Express Rd, Bluffdale, UT 84065 and is one of the two data center facilities in Bluffdale. This state of the art data center facility is adjacent to the company’s existing Granite Point I facility, and is located in a low risk natural disasters area including tornadoes, hurricanes and floods. The data center is located in the Seismic Zone 3, which has low frequency of occurrence.
The data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility providing colocation spaces from standard 48″ APC cabinets, 10′ cage spaces in addition to their flexible floor space. The data center provides 95,000 square feet of space including 25,000 square feet of office space to accommodate its customers, majority of which are out of state customers. The 36″ raised floor design provides better airflow to components. The data center is annually audited for strict industry compliance standards and is a SSAE 16 Type II, HIPAA and PCI certified facility. The data center provides state of the art security measures with gated access, 24x7x365 on premise security guards, inside/outside monitoring through a video surveillance system, hourly facility walk through checks, background checks on employees, key card access systems, biometric scans, company approved access control list, and 2 factor 5 Tier authentication for data center access.
The data center has a reliable N+1 power infrastructure design that is concurrently maintainable design. A total of 10 MW of power is served to data center. The immediate power failure is protected by N+1 UPS system that provides the backup till the emergency power resumes. The backup power is provided by generators in N+1 redundancy on the loss of utility power. The power to each cabinet is provided in A+B configuration and offers a consumption based metered billing. The current power densities include 8x208v 30A PDUs per cabinet and can support an average 21.6 kW per watt over hundred of cabinets. The data center is one of the most efficient data centers with PUE ratings of 1.2. The Liebert DSE CRAC units in N+1 redundancy in cold aisle containment design maintains appropriate cooling and humidity levels in the data center for high power density deployments.
The 14926 Pony Express Rd. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to many Tier I and Tier II service providers. The data center has a redundant and scalable network infrastructure. The data center is interlinked through multipath, diverse path dark fiber ring. The remote hands services are provided with a dedicated staff that are available for support and helpdesk services.
