AISO.net’s Romoland data center is located at 25655 Louisa Lane, Romoland, CA 92585. The data center is located in South California desert that is isolated from the normal mainstream traffic and in an area only travelled by locals. The data center is a purpose built green facility with 12 inches thick wall, and filled with insulation that has recycled contents. The data center is an N+1 Tier III infrastructure facility.
The data center offers flexible colocation space options from rack space in 1U increment, half cabinet, full cabinet, and customized cage space. The data center provides 2,000 square feet of total enclosed space. The security in the data center is provided through 24x7x365 onsite security guards, CCTV and motion detection video cameras, locked cabinets, and keycard/keypad access authentication is required to gain entry into facility. The data center is equipped with Aero-K green fire suppression system to extinguish any fire spark in the facility.
The data center is green energy facility which is powered by onsite solar panels within two arrays that generates electricity. This power grid is owned and operated by AISO to power the entire data center including offices. The Romoland is an N+1 power infrastructure facility, and provides a PUE of 1.14. The facility uses solar tubes to bring outside natural light during day, LED lighting for night, and also deploys systems that utilize as little power as 5 watts. The data center uses APC UPS system with battery backup in N+1 redundancy with optional second circuit for servers with redundant dual power supplies. Any problem in solar power system is backed up by generators available onsite for providing uninterrupted operations. All equipment has dual power supplies and each power supply is connected to a different PDU that in turn is connected to a separate APC line conditioning and battery backup supply. The N+2 HVAC units utilizing water cooling system automates the cooling and humidity levels in the data center. The facility has 10,000 gallons of rooftop water collection system, and uses hot and cold isle containment layout.
AISO.net’s 25655 Louisa Lane data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has multiple fiber entry points, fully redundant network infrastructure based on Cisco technology, and OC-192 fiber optic SONET rings connectivity. The data center has installed firewalls, IDS/IPS, hacking detection software, and also provides hourly full backup of all servers. The data center offers 99.9% SLA on network uptime. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides technical support and monitoring services. The data center also provides remote hands services.
