ACD.net – Lansing Data Center

ACD.net’s Lansing data center is located at 1800 N. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906. The facility was purchased in 2005 and is completely renovated into a fully hardened data center with poured reinforced concrete walls.

The data center offers flexible colocation space options, including space for single server, quarter cabinet, half cabinet, full cabinet, customized cage space, and wholesale colocation space. The data center provides 42,000 square feet of total enclosed space including 22,000 square feet of colocation space, and 4,000 square feet of bunker that is a building within a building for core network infrastructure. The data center provides multiple layers of physical security including 24x7x365 security guards, IP based video surveillance with recording and archiving of footage off site, monitoring by NOC staff, while data center access is controlled through the use of key card and keypad. The data center uses modern fire suppression system for any fire spark.

Lansing data center provides redundant and reliable power infrastructure. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by N+1 redundant inline APC UPS system with battery backup on the loss of utility power. The emergency power to data center is fed through standby diesel generators in N+1 redundancy for prolonged power outage. The data center offers AC and DC power options, and delivers 120V power in 5/10/15/20 Amps circuit. The cooling and humidity levels in the data center are effectively controlled by redundant HVAC units in N+1 redundancy for the optimum performance of all hardware components.

ACD.net’s 1800 N. Grand River Ave. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service provider. The data center has sixteen conduits available for fiber through separate entrances. The data center network is highly distributed network architecture featuring Cisco 12000 series core routers, Cisco 6500 core switches, Cisco ONS 15454 SONET, and fully functional class 4/5 telephone switch. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides technical support, monitoring services, and remote hands services.
